Mel Robinson is an award-winning screenwriter, ranking in the screenwriter division of Film Festivals such as the Hollywood Black Film Festival 2007 as a semi-finalist, grand prize winner at the African American Women in Cinema 2007, semi- finalist at the Sweet Auburn International Film Festival (AKA Sweet Auburn Intl Film Festival 2008), and Honorable Mention 2008 Organization of Black Screenwriters for her screenplay "Lilah."
Mel has been committed in becoming an influential writer and views writing as more than just a hobby. She has branched out into film production and hopes to one day work as a tv/film director as well. Her love of writing encompasses not just the craft of creating short stories, but also the sharing of some of the meaningful paths that led her to the status of "published author."
Mel's goals are to positively influence the lives of others through her gifting and talents but mostly through her own personal journey that has significantly fueled her path. Future goals for Mel include speaking and positively encouraging other women to tell their stories, sharing their journeys and being an influence to the world around them.
